Maple Auger Cane – WAP #23

This Maple cane is carved with a double-twist “auger” pattern.

 

The Walking Art Project is multi-piece exhibit as part of Grand Rapids, Michigan's ArtPrize® 2014 completion.  It is comprised of 25 walking sticks and canes, each of which is both functional and a work of art.  Created as a tribute to the men and women of the US Armed Forces who were disabled in the course of their service, it represents the journey back to wholeness both physically and spiritually.

Hickory Loop Handle Double Twist – WAP #17

This flattened, loop-handled cane with a double twist is carved from hickory wood.

Tri-Color Checkerboard Cane – WAP #15

Similar in design to WAP #1 and WAP #12, this double-twist cane is a swirl of three hardwoods: purpleheart, maple, and bloodheart.
