Walking Art Project Complete

WP_full1 WP_full2

All 25 pieces of the Walking Art Project are shown here assembled together for the first time in my basement.  I couldn’t get a decent panorama photo, so this will have to do for now.

Later this month (September 24) it will be assembled in the lobby of Spectrum Health – Butterworth Hospital.  The floor to ceiling windows at the venue should make for spectacular viewing.

The Walking Art Project is multi-piece exhibit as part of Grand Rapids, Michigan's ArtPrize® 2014 completion.  It is comprised of 25 walking sticks and canes, each of which is both functional and a work of art.  Created as a tribute to the men and women of the US Armed Forces who were disabled in the course of their service, it represents the journey back to wholeness both physically and spiritually.
